Photo Story - By Zoë Downey

It is a futile expectation of the holder of the lens to frame complete calm, serenity and visual order. Even within the most intentional captures there will remain imperfections; elements that ultimately serve joy and character in an image. Contextless still-lifes direct the eye to a clean focal point, but soon reveal uneven elements that defy this perceived alignment. Undoing uniformity is a subtle acceptance of the delicate flaws that will forever be a part of living.
