Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in sharing your work with Uncommon Studio. Our gallery is carefully curated with an emphasis on thoughtful storytelling and visual cohesion. We are currently prioritizing project-based submissions over single images. If you’d like your work to be considered, please follow the guidelines below

Project Title & Description:
Include a clear title and a description of the concept or story behind the project.

Image Specifications:

Submit a cohesive set of images (not individual, unrelated shots)

Each image should be under 5MB in size

Use a consistent aspect ratio across all images

Do not include watermarks or borders

Upload your images to a Google Drive folder

What genre does Uncommon focus on?
As of now, Uncommon focuses fine art photography which can include street, documentary, still life, abstract and fashion.
How many images/ projects can I submit?
Each person can send upto 10 images per project per submission. In case of multiple projects, please send it separately.
What is the selection process? Will I be notified if my project is selected or not?
No. We generally will don't notify upon selection. We directly share it on our page.
How long will it take for my project to get published from the date of submission?
There is no set timeline we follow but it can take upto a month. Let it be a surprise :)
Is there any deadline to submit?
This is not an open call and hence there is no deadline. Anyone can submit anytime
Will I be compensated if my image gets featured?
At this stage, Uncommon is a homegrown, community-driven initiative run by two passionate photographers just like you. While we are deeply passionate about providing a platform for emerging photographers, we currently do not have the resources to offer monetary compensation for features.
Do I still own the rights of my images if it gets published?
The featured work always remains the full intellectual property of the photographer. We do not use any of the submitted images for commercial purposes — our sole intention is to create visibility and foster a space for creative exchange.
Can I submit projects that have already been featured elsewhere?
Yes, you can but the project should not have been featured on our website before.
After getting published, can I request to take down my project later?
Absolutely. In case you don't wish to share your project anymore, you can mail us at uncommonstudio.in@gmail.com
